Island Escapes Unveiled: Your Ultimate Guide to a Seamless Maldives Adventure

I don't believe Maldives is the dream destination for everyone, because there is no one place that is perfect for everyone.

Maldives is not a place where you can go out and explore new places everyday, it's a place you go to completely relax your mind and body. There's only you, beach and food...

The activities you can do are swimming, snorkeling, scuba-diving, eat, drink, sleep and repeat. You can explore the Island that you are in and enjoy the evening entertainment. But that is it for the days you will be there.

Here is a list of what you will find in this article:

Some people find it repetitive and boring but in my case I loved it. There's time for a city break and a full on adventure holiday but this is the place where you go to completely switch off from the world.

How to get to your Island from Mahle

Once you land in Mahle, depending on how far your Island is you will either have to take another boat or if the Island is too far, you will have to catch another plane. There will be people at the airport to help guide you and take you to your Resort - cooperate with them.

And make the most of your ride either from the boar or plane, its your last journey until you reach your paradise.

Types of Island

There are a lot of different Islands in Maldives for all budgets and tastes.

Some Islands are close to the airport in Mahle which is perfect so that you don't have to purchase another flight ticket to reach your destination or stay on a boat for more than 45 minutes.

Our Island was a 25-minute boat ride from the airport and trust me it was long enough. Being on a speed boat on rough waters can be really scary and tiring. It's literally in the middle of nowhere!

For Snorkeling lovers, some Islands are close to big coral areas so that you don't have to pay for day trips to go Snorkeling, it's right there for you whenever you feel like it.

For Surf lovers, some Islands are geographically located in areas where waters meet to create big waves.

When you are looking for your resort make sure you read all that the Island offers to find the best one for you.

The month you choose to go there is also crucial, some months offer more waves and other calm waters. The perfect time to go is between November to April.

From May starts monsoon season which sees an increased amount of rainfall but nevertheless, the weather is warm throughout the year. The rain at night and the thunderstorms are so cool to see.

We traveled at the beginning of May and personally, it was the perfect weather, I could bear the heat, stay outside, and enjoy the Maldives to the maximum.
